On 25th of February, 2020 between the Legal Consulting Center and Business Association Georgian Employers Association was established the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation on providing the mutual services regarding the Labor and Health Safety issues in Adjara.
According to the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation, Legal Consulting Center together with the Georgian Employers’ Association will provide services to region-based companies that will be focused on implementation of the labor and health safety standards and conditions in the companies. The service will be provided in accordance with the service package developed by the Association for the implementation of labor and health safety legislation. Within the framework of these services, the Georgian Employers’ Association labor safety experts will assess the companies existing safety risks, develop an action plan, retrain staff members and implement labor safety standards that are in line with international standards and requirements of the local legislation.
We hereby remind you that from 1st of September, 2019 the Organic Law of Georgia on Occupational Health and Safety applies to all organizations carrying out economic activities. In order to protect labor safety rules, the employer should designate or invite a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist.
