In January 2018, the Millennium Challenge Foundation announced the competition “Business for Gender Equality” and the Legal Consulting Center was awarded with the relevant certificate for participation.
The aim of the competition is to identify and reward companies operating in Georgia that promote women in education, to become more active in social life, in all and any sector and level of economical fields and to realize their opportunities. The competition is annual and this year it was held for the third time.
Gender inequality significantly impedes the country’s economic development. Thus, gender issues are one of the top priorities for the Millennium Challenge Foundation. Close collaboration with the private sector is a crucial to achieve gender equality. The competition was organized with the support of UN Women Organization.
